Craft Brewing Appreciation Night

The Lowcountry Buckeyes held a Craft Brewing Appreciation Night July 14^th at Hobcaw Brewing Company in Mount Pleasant, SC.  More than a 16 Buckeyes were present to sample offerings from four local hobbyists and the host brewery.

Attendees were able to sample seven (7) different craft beers including: Wheat Bier, Vienna Lager, Dark Mild, Irish Red, Saison, Weizenbock and Double IPA.  Four of the brews were from LowCountry Libations homebrewers and three from Hobcaw Brewing Company.

Attendees were given brief introductions and history and background of each style of brew and samples to sip to correlate the instruction to each distinct type of brew.  Low Country Buckeyes Beer I.Q. was increased during this meeting, as well as enjoyment, satisfaction and an opportunity to meet old and new Buckeye friends.
